The Sartorialist is wonderful. I saw this photo in this month's batch and was instantly captivated. Where does a girl find a skirt like this? More importantly, where does she find the daring to wear it?

...sooo...I'm all about daring accessories, but there are certain limits. I just read on Jezebel that a young British girl acts as her fiance's human pet and walks with him on a leash at all times.
She claims: "I am a pet. I generally act animal-like and I lead a really easy life. I don't cook or clean and I don't go anywhere without Dani. It might seem strange but it makes us both happy. It's my culture and my choice. It isn't hurting anyone."

M.I.A., Sri Lankan-British rapper and political activist, refused to model for rocawear but seems to have no problem with marc by marc jacobs- but I can't talk I'd do anything for mister marc. The ads are shot by Juergen Teller and while I miss Maya's usual neon crayola getups, I think the neutral palate works very well.
Check out M.I.A.'s albums, Arular and Kala, and her singles with Missy and Timbaland.
She's great in concert too :-)

Sept 17th:
Hines Ward models the throwback jersey and poses with the new Steelers mascot.
The Pittsburgh Steelers mark their 75th anniversary this year and are reaching back in time to celebrate. At their season home opener against the Buffalo Bills, the team wore very eye-catching throwback jerseys from the 1940s. The color certainly is *bright* (pika pika!) and it will take some time to get used to, but I like this change much more than those Bengals uniforms of last season with the headache inducing stripes aaaallll the way down the legs. I bet they helped distract and confuse the other team :)
